Bronze Týr Pendant
Not much is known about Týr but he was once a chief figure in Germanic mythology. Tuesday is named for him and he was considered by the Romans to be equivalent to their warrior god Mars. He is portrayed as one-handed after he sacrificed his hand to the Fenris the wolf, fearsome son of Loki, to protect his people and fellow gods. The runes say: TYR OK FENRISULFR in old Norse, which translates to "Týr and Fenris Wolf".
